Hal answered his phone. “Hello?”
“So?” It was Stephanie. “How was your date?”
“It was great, Steph. Thanks for asking.”
“I guess this means no more booty calls, huh?” she sounded very disappointed.
“You know me, Steph. I’m a one woman man.”
“Yeah, I know. One more would have been nice, though.”
“If she ever breaks up with me….”
“She won’t.”
“How can you be so sure?”
“You two are meant to be together. You’re going to marry that girl.”
“Steph….”
“You know better than to argue with me, Hal Garrow.”
